Ananta, założony w połowie lat 70. w Londynie (choć z wenezuelskimi korzeniami!) prog rockowy zespół, którego inicjatorem był Ilan Chester oraz bracia Spiteri. Formacja wydała dwa pięknie zarejestrowane i wyprodukowane albumy: Songs From The Future (1980) oraz niniejszy, debiutancki Night And Daydream (1978).

Ananta to bardzo niedoceniany zespół o charakterystycznym brzmieniu, przypominającym skrzyżowanie String Driven Thing z pierwszymi dokonaniami Split Endz. W ich muzyce można wyłapać wpływy i inspiracje korespondujące z takimi artystami jak Carlos Santana, Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder czy Neil Diamond.
