Strength jest drugim studyjnym albumem Walijczyków z The Alarm, wydanym w 1985 roku przez IRS Records.

Tytułowy singiel wydano jeszcze przed premierą samego krążka. Drugi z kolei, promujący płytę już jej premierze - 'Spirit of '76', dał zespołowi możliwość zaprezentowania się w kilku telewizyjnych programach muzycznych. Ostatnim wyłonionym singlem był 'Knife Edge'. 

Strength został ciepło przyjęty w Wielkiej Brytanii, album docenili też Amerykanie, umieszczając go w pierwszej czterdziestce Billboard 200.
