Get Closer jest ósmym albumem studyjnym Seals and Crofts.

Tytułowy numer był konkretnym hitem na listach w 1976r. i w sumie ostatnim, który zaliczył Top 10. Nieźle radził też sobie "Goodbye Old Buddies".

"Get Closer" to utwór z wokalnym udziałem Carolyn Willis, która związana była z grupą Honey Cone.

"Sweet Green Fields" samplowano w piosence Busta Rhymes "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See" (1997), a następnie w 2002r. w utworze Syleeny Johnson "Tonight I'm Gonna Let Go", którą z kolei oparto na wspomnianej "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See".
